Multi-instrumentalist with over 20 years of live performance experience spanning all genres. I’ve played in various musical formats: from solo folk singer songwriter to a 10-piece Latin jazz big band!
 
I completed my BA(Hons) Degree in Music Practice in 2011 at the University of Central Lancashire and went on to become a full-time performing musician, in bands and as a session player.
 
I teach electric bass, double bass, song writing & composition and music theory.
 
I have a strong theoretical understanding of harmony, particularly
jazz harmony.

 I’ll teach you how to read tablature and real music notation so that you can gain the skillsneeded to become a versatile, professional player.

 Learn how music works and why. I am a massive geek for this, so if I don’t know the answer for your question, I will find out!!!!
 On double bass, we’ll go over the fundamentals of how to navigate the instrument. This isreally important if you’re a newbie, or an experienced electric bassist making the switch to double bass (most of my students are in this category.)
 I write my own course material for jazz lessons; each module consists of 12 hours’ worth of well thought out concepts I’ve picked up along the way on my musical journey.
